Curling Club Social Event Just Added! Friends and family are welcome.
You must register by October 6 to attend the Curling Club Social Event.
A limited number of walk-ins will be available.
On Sunday, October 19 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, join fellow conference-goers, friends and family
for a fun gathering and learn about this classic northern sport!
For only $10, enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres and an informal Curling lesson.
No special attire is required but athletic shoes are recommended.
Pre-registration for the conference is required online here in order to purchase Curling Club Social tickets. Attendees can purchase extra tickets for friends and family.
If you already registered for the conference, you can access your online registration
and add the Curling Club event.
The Curling Club is located in Pioneer Hall which is part of the conference center and can be accessed
from the UMISC registration area or Entrance "A' of the conference center.
The 2014 Upper Midwest Invasive Species Conference will be held in scenic Duluth, Minnesota on October 20-22, 2014 at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center to exchange information on all invasive aquatic and terrestrial plant, animal, insect and pathogen species.
The goal of UMISC is to strengthen management of invasive species, especially prevention, control, and containment. Expected audience includes: researchers, land managers, natural resource professionals, university personnel, landscape and nursery professionals, agriculture and forestry employees, environmental specialists, lake association members, land owners, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and anyone interested in managing the spread of invasive species in the Upper Midwest.
Conference Hosts are the Invasive Plants Association of Wisconsin, Midwest Invasive Plant Network, Minnesota Invasive Species Advisory Council, and the Wisconsin Invasive Species Council.
